4/2/25 – This is a very rare and exceptional Spreewerk P.38 from August of 1942, the first year of production. This is the 215th Spreewerk pistol ever produced! It features more of a polished finish and rates at about 98% with just a hint of edge wear throughout. These pistols also contained a number of small parts stamped with the Eagle/359 that were provided by Walther to assist in the startup. The correct brown grips were also provided by Walther and are properly Eagle/359 stamped on the inside. Includes a correct, early Eagle/88 proofed magazine. Bore has strong rifling, but there is noticeable spotty surface oxidation throughout. The de-cocker works. Most of these guns likely ended up on the Eastern front, never to return. Only 26 of the estimated 420 made have been accounted for.
