5/20/25 – For sale is a nice Sharps New Model 1859 Saddle Ring Carbine. The carbine is in great shape for its age. The receiver has dulled and has some patina. Some of the stamping has started to wear away. The barrel retains a nice dull blued finish. The stock and forend are in great shape with an inspection stamp on the left side of the stock. The bore is bright with strong rifling. We believe this carbine is chambered in .50-70 Gov’t but we don’t have the means to do a chamber cast.
