Description
1/10/23 – This is a nice example of a Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle, manufactured in 1887 and chambered in .44 WCF. Its original finish rates roughly 70%. The majority of the finish loss is on the receiver, where the case-hardening is mostly worn. There is also spotty oxidation covering the receiver and brown patina along the barrel. The wood furniture is excellent for its age. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there are some spots of pitting here and there. Fully functional.
