Description
2/9/23 – This is an original WW1 era production German Hunting Association Cutlass. The dagger comes with an original scabbard that holds a second, smaller skinning knife, but this knife is not included. The cutlass blade measures approximately 16.5 inches (including the ricasso). There’s two hunting scenes, one on each side, and the spine is etched as well. There’s spotty surface discoloration amongst the etchings, but this is mild. There’s some more significant discoloration near the base of the ricasso on one side, as shown. The clamshell hand guard has typical surface patina and normal signs of aging. Similar wear is found on the acorns and the pommel. One of the three acorns is missing from the stag handle. The scabbard is in great shape with mild aging and surface patina but no major issues.
