12/18/24 – This is a really nice example of a Spanish M1913 Bayonet from WW1 made by Artilleria Fábrica Nacional. These bayonets were designed for the 7mm Mauser M1916 Short Rifle as well as the 8mm Mauser M1943 Short Rifle.The blade of this bayonet is in good overall condition, with patina throughout as well as signs of sharpening. The handle on this bayonet also has a nice patina, and the wood grip panels still have strong checkering which was unique to this model of Spanish bayonet.The leather scabbard is in good condition but does have a minor tear towards the end at the metal tip. Due to this tear, care is needed when re-inserting the bayonet as not to make it worse. The metal parts on the scabbard as well have the same nice patina as the handle and blade. The scabbard is additionally missing the attachment hook for use with a leather frog.
