Description
7/9/24 – This is an original US M1907 Leather Rifle Sling. The sling is likely WW2 put together from a WW1 leftover section and a WW2 production section (that’s our best guess). One section of the leather sling is faintly marked “C2” with a small “18” number stamped. The non-magnetic brass fixtures are darkened grey likely from a worn arsenal finish. The other section of the sling appears unmarked, and the brass color comes out more clearly on the fixture. Both leather retaining / adjustment loops are intact and original. Nice stitching throughout, which is all original. The leather has typical surface wrinkling and mild cracking but no major issues and structurally strong. A great overall example suitable for M1 Garand and M1903 Rifles.
